The 49-year-old actress told ABC News Radio that viewers shouldn’t be scared by the horror genre title.  She says the new series, which debuts this Sunday, is more suspense than scary.

“Don’t let the horror label fool you or scare you away,” Williams said.  “There are some unfortunate things that happen on a weekly basis at The Drake, but it’s not blood and guts.  It’s not going to make you not be able to sleep at night.”

The Drake is the fictional luxury building around which 666 Park Avenue is centered — a building that contains many secrets and evil spirits.  So why would anyone stay there?

Actor Terry O’Quinn, who plays Gavin Doran, the Drake’s mysterious landlord, tells ABC News Radio, “They’re seduced by the glamour of the place and it’s a great address…I would probably jump at the chance to live in The Drake.”

ABC’s 666 Park Avenue premieres Sunday, Sept. 30, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
