Caldwell Fire Chief Wins $1M Powerball

(CALDWELL) -Caldwell’s fire chief is now about $672,000 richer. Mark Wendelsdorf and his wife Kim have claimed their winnings from a Sept. 19 Powerball drawing. The original amount was $1 million, though over $300,000 were taken in taxes. The couple plans to pay off their mortgage and other debts and buy a few new toys. Kim says she’ll also go on a shopping spree for a new wardrobe after recently losing 80 pounds.
