City of Ucon Annexes Cives

(UCON) – The Ucon city council has voted to annex the new Cives Steel Company plant. The council changed zoning to allow Cives in the town, provided that the company puts up a tree line and complies with safety and cleanliness standards. Nearly 100 people were packed into the meeting discussing the plan. The council plans to explore the issue further at a special meeting Oct. 17.
