Boyd wasn’t the only Tiger breaking records. Clemson receiver Sammy Watkins had eight catches for a school record 202 yards in the win. He also caught his first touch down of the season, a 61-yard bomb in the second quarter.

Quarterback Tanner Price threw for 232 yards for Wake Forest in the loss.

The win puts Clemson (7-1, 4-1 ACC) in a tie with Florida State for first in the Atlantic division of the ACC (although Florida State owns the head-to-head tiebreaker). The Demon Deacons are now 4-4 overall and 2-4 in the conference.
