Crash Blocks Hwy 39 Near American Falls

(AMERICAN FALLS) – A truck driver failing to yield at a stop sign led to a crash along state Hwy. 39 near American Falls Monday morning. Idaho State Police say 31-year-old Star Pinder of Goodyear, Ariz., was traveling eastbound along Pleasant Valley Road when she ran a stop sign at the highway intersection. Her semi truck reportedly hit 50-year-old Douglas Ruff of Aberdeen, who was traveling south on the highway. Pinder was airlifted to Portneuf Medical Center. Her 13-year-old passenger and Ruff were both taken by ambulance to Power County Hospital.
