The decision shocked the audience in the ballroom, who voiced their displeasure with a chorus of boos.

The elimination is all the more stunning because Bryan, the star of The Cheetah Girls, was also a favorite to win when she was eliminated in the sixth week of the regular show’s season five. Her elimination back then shocked viewers and the show’s three judges.

Those judges, Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, all looked stunned Tuesday when Bryan’s name was announced.

The star smiled through her disappointment and expressed her gratitude for the experience.

“Every single person can understand what it feels like to get a second chance at something and this was my second chance,” she said.

Bryan earned her spot on the All-Stars edition by beating out DWTS alums Kyle Massey and Carson Kressley in a viewers’ choice vote.

“Louis, I’m so grateful for you,” Bryan told Van Amstel, adding, “I’m grateful for this experience and Dancing with the Stars honestly has been just an absolute dream.”

Bryan’s rumba during Monday’s country night-themed show earned her 30 points — the first perfect score of season 15. That score, combined with her score from last week’s show — where she again topped the leaderboard — put her at the top of the pack going into Tuesday’s results show.

Elimination from the show is based upon a combination of judges’ and viewer votes. The star with the lowest overall total is sent home.

Actress Kelly Monaco got the lowest judges’ score on Monday’s performance show, but she was declared safe from elimination on Tuesday.

Tuesday’s results show also featured a performance by singers Taylor Swift and Jason Mraz.

Next week’s presidential election will bring a change to the Dancing with the Stars schedule. The stars will perform on Monday, but there will be no results show and elimination on Tuesday, Election Day.

Next Monday’s show will feature the stars doing “fusion” performances, which judge Len Goodman said would require the couples to perform two styles of dance to one piece of music.

Returning next week to perform are Ohno, Monaco, NFL legend Emmitt Smith, Olympian Shawn Johnson, actors Gilles Marini and Kirstie Alley and TV personality Melissa Rycroft.  Because Johnson’s partner, Derek Hough, injured his neck, she will be partnered with Mark Ballas next week.  Ballas is available to fill-in because his All-Stars celebrity partner, Bristol Palin, was eliminated two weeks ago.
