The Falcons defense knocked the 2012 first round pick Robert Griffin III out in the third quarter after linebacker Sean Weatherspoon hit him on the head during a sack.  Griffin III suffered a concussion on the play.

Kirk Cousins would come in for Washington and threw a 77-yard touchdown pass to Santana Moss to give them the lead in the fourth quarter, but also threw two interceptions in the final two minutes, which sealed the deal for the Falcons.

Michael Turner gave the Falcons the lead with 2:46 to go in the fourth on a 13-yard rushing touchdown.  The loss for Washington marked it’s eighth consecutive home loss.
