Former Car Lot Owner Charged With Embezzlement

(HELENA, Mont.) – A former car lot owner from Helena, Mont. has been charged with embezzlement after liquidating the new lot owners’ inventory while they were out of town. 38-year-old Robert Alfred McGinnis, who worked as an employee for Rob’s Easy Auto Sales, reportedly sold 25 cars to a dealer in Blackfoot without authorization. McGinnis also allegedly sold the lot’s financing packages to a company in Los Angeles. In total, McGinnis stands accused of embezzling an estimated $600,000. He has yet to enter a plea.
