Indonesian anti-terror squads carried out raids in four provinces arresting a total of 11 suspects said to belong to a previously unknown group, the Sunni Movement for Indonesian Society or HASMI.

The group allegedly planned to target the U.S. embassy in Jakarta, a plaza near the Australian embassy and the local office of a U.S. mining giant. It is unclear how advanced the plans were, but police seized a number of bombs, explosives, a bomb making manual and ammunition.
