Kent State Upsets No. 15 Rutgers, 35-23

Getty Kent State Football?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1351383083104Alex Trautwig/Getty Images(PISCATAWAY, N.J.) — Kent State capitalized on seven Scarlet Knight turnovers, on its way to a 35-23 upset over No. 15 Rutgers (7-1).

Rutgers quarterback Gary Nova, who had only thrown three interceptions on the season, threw six interceptions. Kent State defensive end Mark Fackler had two of those interceptions, and returned one for a touchdown.

Kent State running back Trayion Durham rushed for 131 yards on 22 carries and a touchdown.

Kent State (7-1) put an end to Rutgers best start to a season since 2009 when it started 9-0.
