After several reporters brought up the idea of the band getting back together again, Robert Plant expressed annoyance, referring to their “inane questions” and branding one reporter a “schmuck.” Then, he seemed to leave the door open. While noting that “the tail should never wag the dog” with regard to fans’ desire to see Zeppelin play again, Plant maintained, “If we’re capable of doing something in our own time, that will be what will happen.”
Plant also said he was very pleased with how he and his old band mates performed at that 2007 reunion concert.
“We were just hanging on for dear life, watching each other, and…we were so happy that we were actually getting it right and really enjoying it,” he declared. “There were moments in it where we just took off and pushed off into some place.”
Jimmy Page, meanwhile, pointed out that the O2 concert gave the band members the opportunity, in effect, to make up for the relatively uninspired reunion gigs that Led Zeppelin members previously had done, such as at 1985’s Live Aid festival and 1988’s Atlantic Records 40th anniversary concert.
“We just really wanted to get it right and go out there to play to people who maybe never heard us, who had heard about this reputation and what we were about,” he explained. “Basically, go out there, stand up and be counted for what we were.”

ABC News(NEW YORK) — Celebration Day, the new concert film documenting Led Zeppelin’s December 2007 reunion show at London’s O2 Arena, premieres Tuesday night at New York City’s Ziegfeld Theatre. Prior to the event, the band’s three surviving members — Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones — as well as late Zeppelin drummer John Bonham’s son, Jason, gathered at New York’s Museum of Modern Art to chat with the press, and to address the ever-present question of whether or not they would ever reunite.
