Man Arrested for Robbery, Attempted Strangulation

(IDAHO FALLS) – An Idaho Falls man was arrested on robbery and attempted strangulation charges Wednesday Police say 42-year-old Jimmie Hyde was allegedly involved in a domestic disturbance with a woman on the 2500 block of First Street. Witnesses reported seeing the altercation taking place in a car, and claim that Hyde punched the victim before trying to choke her. Hyde fled the scene with $200 in stolen cash. He was later found passed out in a vehicle nearby. Hyde is in custody on a $50,000 bond.
