(COEUR D’ALENE) – The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office in northern Idaho has given the Idaho Meth Project more than $40,000 in seized drug money. That amounts to about 10 percent of the overall amount seized by deputies in 2011. First Lady Lori Otter, who accepted the check on behalf of the organization, says the money is a “huge” contribution toward the efforts to reduce and eliminate methamphetamine use statewide.
