(BOISE) – A Montpelier man will spend the next ten years in prison after being convicted for defrauding the Idaho State Insurance Fund. 39-year-old Terry Melvin was sentenced Wednesday in Boise’s 4th District Court. Melvin was ordered to pay more than $10,500 in fines and restitution. Melvin admitted to taking workman’s compensation benefits in spite of being fully-able to work. Investigators determined Melvin had violated state laws after he was filmed walking, riding a bike, and climbing stairs.
