“Paranormal Activity 4” Debuts at Number One with $30 Million
Published at(NEW YORK) — Business was “normal” at the box office over the weekend.
The horror sequel Paranormal Activity 4 opened in first place, earning an estimated $30.2 million.
Taken 2, which was number one the previous two weekends, tumbled to the fourth spot, with $13.4 million.
The weekend’s other wide release, Alex Cross, was a disappointment. The thriller, starring Tyler Perry in the titular role, debuted in fifth place, collecting $11.8 million.
