Sparing Bull Moose Found Dead, Locked Together
Published at | Updated at
(JACKSON, Wyo.) – The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says a battle between two bull moose turned deadly last month. Officials in Jackson say two bull moose were found dead side-by-side on top of a butte with their antlers locked together. One of the bulls had a broken neck, though the cause of death for the other rutting moose remains unclear. Authorities say one of the animals had a non-typical rack which likely made it difficult for the sparring bulls to break apart. Biologists say double deaths from a single duel are extremely unusual.
