Kennedy is 18 years old and still in school.  But Taylor says as far as she’s concerned, he’s a grown man.

In Taylor’s new Rolling Stone cover story, she takes issue with reports that she “kidnapped” Conor by flying him to Nashville for a visit.

“How did I kidnap him?” she asks Rolling Stone. “You can’t kidnap a grown man! These are serious accusations, now! It’s an interesting way to spin something into a story. See, this is why I don’t read stuff.”

As for those reports that she and Conor crashed the wedding of one of his relatives, Taylor tells the magazine, “I have no idea what happened there. I think that story was based on the biggest misunderstanding, ’cause I would never knowingly show up somewhere that I thought I wasn’t invited to and I would never want to upstage anybody.”

Taylor also discusses her outlook on love in the interview, noting, “The way I look at love is you have to follow it, and fall hard, if you fall hard. You have to forget about what everyone else thinks. It has to be an us-against-the-world mentality.”

Discussing her alleged tendency to enter into serious relationships too quickly, Taylor explains that that’s the way she operates, because she doesn’t “hook up.”

“Where’s the romance? Where’s the magic in that? I’m just not that girl,” she says.
