(IDAHO FALLS) – Melaleuca CEO Frank VanderSloot has spent more than $200,000 backing state Superintendent Tom Luna’s education reforms. VanderSloot says he was compelled to chip in after the National Education Association gave more than $1 million to Luna’s opponents. VanderSloot says he favors Propositions 1 and 2 especially, because they limit union bargaining rights and establish merit pay for teachers.
