Peyton Manning threw for three touchdowns and the Broncos flustered the San Diego Chargers 30-23 on Sunday afternoon at Sports Authority Field.

Down 7-0 after one quarter, the Broncos (7-3) turned up their offense and scored 17 unanswered points, capped by two Manning touchdown tosses. The win gave the Broncos a three-game divison lead and a series sweep of the fading Chargers (4-6).

The Denver defense held San Diego to 53 rushing yards on the day while racking up 133 of their own. “We were not able to get the run going, we had a tough time protecting and they covered us down the field,” Chargers coach Norv Turner said. “So, the combination of those three things makes it difficult.”

Manning completed 25 of 42 passes for 270 yards and just one interception on the evening, while his counterpart Phillip Rivers threw two picks for the Chargers.

The Broncos have won five straight games.
