Challis Woman Dies in Car Accident

CUSTER COUNTY – A Challis woman has died following a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 93 near Willow Creek Summit Thursday.
Michelle Dea, 42, of Challis was driving south on U.S. 93 in a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee when she failed to negotiate a corner. Dea overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle, sliding off the side of the hill, according to Idaho State Police.
ISP said a passing motorist discovered Dea at 6:56 a.m.
Dea was wearing a seatbelt but was pronounced dead at the scene.
