Griffin is suffering from a burst bursa sac in his right elbow and a neck strain, but is continuing to play through the pain.

“His elbow is a concern,” Del Negro said. “His neck is a concern but Blake is a tough kid. He’ll fight through it and give us what he can give us.”

The 23-year-old is posting averages 16.3 points-per-game on 45.1 percent shooting from the field.  Both are way below his career averages of 21.5 points-per-game on 52.3 percent shooting.

As far as the elbow injury is concerned, Del Negro says that Griffin has played through it for the past two seasons but is in the most pain he has ever endured.

Griffin is expected to play in the Clippers’ Wednesday night game against the San Antonio Spurs and it is unclear whether he will miss any time in the near future.
