(IDAHO FALLS, ID)  —   Idaho Falls Police have arrested 41-year-old Nathan Shade Soper for domestic battery and attempted strangulation following an incident that occurred in the 2400 block of Pumice Drive on Sunday.    Soper of Idaho Falls was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.    According to reports, police responded to the apartment around 3:55 p.m. for a physical disturbance. Police contacted the 33-year-old victim who told police that Soper punched her in the face after they had an argument.    The victim said she was asleep when the punch occurred. She woke up and went to the living room. That’s when Soper apparently became angrier and began hitting her again.  She then left to the bedroom, Soper followed her.  She attempted to push him away and he then grabbed her by the throat and that’s when he allegedly attempted to strangle her.

She was able to free herself from him. Soper left, but returned later to the apartment where he was met by police.
