The Lakers drop to 0-2 on the season.

“It’s going to be a little edgy, because I am not a very happy camper walking around here right now,” Bryant said following the game. “Some things we got to shore up and got to make sure we keep a sense of urgency.”

Portland was led by forward Nicolas Batum and rookie guard Damian Lillard, who combined for 48 points.

Lakers guard Steve Nash left the game late in the first half after suffering a bruised left leg when he collided with Lillard. He would return for the second half, but would have to leave the game for good a few minutes later.
