The Grinnell sophmore broke Rio Grande’s Bevo Francis’s record of 113 points that was set in 1954.

Taylor shot 52-for-108, including 27-for-71 from behind the three point arc.

Prior to this game, Taylor had made only 11 of his 41 shot attempts for the season.

“It was definitely a focus of our team to try to get me going offensively a little bit before we get into conference play,” Taylor said when talking about how many shots he took. “I started hitting my shots and we just kind of rode the wave.”

Amazingly Taylor wasn’t the only player who had a monster scoring night. Faith Baptist Bible’s David Larson scored 70 points in the loss, hitting 34 of the 44 shots he took.
