Power Outage Strikes Upper Valley
Published at | Updated at(REXBURG) – Nearly 30,000 Rocky Mountain Power customers in the upper valley lost power for a few hours Sunday morning.
Officials say the outage was caused by a faulty insulator on a line near Rigby. The blackout hit most areas just after 9:30 a.m. Restoration efforts occurred in steps with all locations powered up again by noon.
A second outage hit the Menan area at around 4 p.m.
Authorities have not said whether those blackouts were related.
