Report: McGee Sought Sex in Capitol
Published at | Updated at(BOISE) – New police records allege that former state Sen. John McGee made sexual advances toward a female aid before resigning earlier this year.
Authorities say McGee propositioned a co-worker for sex in the Capitol in February.
The report stems from a disturbing the peace charge McGee pleaded guilty to, for which he served 39 days in jail. Prosecutors sought a lesser misdemeanor charge to protect the victim from testifying in court.
The Caldwell Republican has been no stranger to controversy, beginning with a drunken driving incident in June 2011.
McGee represented the 10th District from 2004 -2012.
