Semi Rolls Onto Vehicle in Bingham County

(SPRINGFIELD) – A Springfield man was transported by ambulance after his vehicle collided with a semi truck.
Mark Powell, 66, was driving northbound on Highway 39 in a Mercury Topaz when he began to turn into a private driveway. The semi truck hit Powell and his vehicle pushed into a power pole. The Idaho State Police said the semi then rolled onto the Topaz.
Powell was taken by ambulance to Bingham Memorial Hospital. Idaho Power was called to assist with the power line, which kept the area out of power for about four hours.
Both Powell and the driver of the semi truck were wearing seat belts.
