(POCATELLO) – More than two dozen dogs and nine cats found homes just in time for Christmas thanks to the “Share the Love” adoption event.

Phil Meador’s auto dealership along with the Pocatello Animal Shelter held the inaugural event Saturday. Ten dogs were adopted within the first hour, with a total of 17 dogs and nine cats adopted over the weekend, which is almost half of the shelter’s animals.

Donations will help fund the Humane Society and the new Animal Shelter.
