Bailey Boots Cowboys To Come-From-Behind Win
Published at(CINCINNATI) — An emotional Dallas Cowboys team rallied for a meaningful win, beating the Cincinnati Bengals 20-19 after Dan Bailey booted a 40-yard field goal as time expired.
Cincinnati (7-6) led 19-10 late in the fourth quarter in a game that had playoff implications for both teams. Tony Romo hit Dez Bryant for a 27-yard touchdown to close the gap to two with 6:35 left.
After Cincinnati punted in the game’s closing minutes, Romo led the Cowboys on a drive that set up Bailey’s game-winning field goal.
Andy Dalton was 20 of 33 for 206 yards, one touchdown, and one interception for the Bengals, who fell to 7-6 with the loss. Josh Brown kicked four field goals but it was not enough to beat an emotional Cowboys team.
A moment of silence was held before the game to honor Cowboys linebacker Jerry Brown, who died in a car accident early Saturday morning.
