December Heat Wave: Dozens of High-Temp Records Broken

Jupiterimages/Thinkstock(CHICAGO) — Winter is just three weeks away, but it certainly doesn’t feel like it in the Midwest, where dozens of high-temperature records have been shattered.
Chicago hit 70 degrees on Monday. That’s only the third time that has ever happened in the month of December.
Temperatures also soared into record territory in Des Moines, Iowa, St. Louis and Indianapolis.
