(LOS ANGELES) — Emma Stone and her boyfriend Andrew Garfield have a new addition, and no, it’s not a baby.
The couple has adopted a 2-year-old golden retriever from Spot! Dog Rescue of Los Angeles.
A source tells People magazine, “She was one of the dogs they first saw, but they weren’t sure.” The source adds, “They left and they couldn’t stop thinking about her, so they came back for her. And it’s true love.”
At first, the two brought the dog home as a foster pet, but then they decided to adopt the purebred on Christmas Eve. The puppy, named Ren, came from a high-kill shelter in Downey, Calif., where she was surrendered by her previous owner.
On Monday, Garfield was spotted walking the pup in the Hollywood Hills. A source says as far as pet owners go, Ren “won the doggie lottery.”
