Heat forward Lebron James was the star of the night as usual for Miami. James finished with 29 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds. Dwayne Wade chipped in 21 points, but point guard Mario Chalmers came up big as he scored a season-high 20 points.

“Two teams that have the same aspirations, and that’s trying to win a championship,” James said after the win. “Both teams are not gonna shortcut anything and just trying to get better each and every game. It was a good fight by both teams.”

The Thunder did not go down without a fight. Kevin Durant finished with 33 points and seven rebounds while Russell Westbrook chipped in 21 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists, but he also had five turnovers.

James has now scored 20 or more points in 30 straight games dating back to last season.
