“Lincoln,” “Les Mis,” “Modern Family” Lead SAG Award Nominees

SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1355332946755Universal(LOS ANGELES) — Lincoln, Les Miserables and ABC’s Modern Family lead the nominees for the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, honoring the best performances in film and TV in the past year.  The nominees were announced Wednesday morning in Los Angeles.

Les Miserables and Lincoln each scored four nods.  For television, ABC’s Modern Family earned four nominations, with HBO’s Boardwalk Empire right behind with three.  Interestingly, no network dramas earned a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast — SAG’s top honor — save for PBS’s Downton Abbey, which is a British import.

Comic actor Dick Van Dyke also will receive the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award.  Cougar Town’s Busy Phillipps and Private Practice’s Taye Diggs announced the nominees at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards will air live in all time zones on TBS and TNT, beginning 8:00 p.m. ET Sunday, January 27 at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles.
