Lopez And Nets Take Care Of Cavs, 103-100
Published at(NEW YORK) — Brook Lopez scored a season-high 35 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as the Brooklyn Nets (16-14) bounced the Cleveland Cavaliers (7-25) Saturday night, 103-100. The Nets improved to 2-0 under interim head coach P.J. Carlesimo.
The Cavs had a chance to send the game into overtime, but second year guard Kyrie Irving’s game-tying three rimmed out.
Guards Deron Williams and Joe Johnson scored 15 points apiece for Brooklyn while forward C.J. Miles led the way for Cleveland with a season-high 33 points on eight for 10 shooting from beyond the arc.
