(POCATELLO) – A Downey man accused of mistreating his horses has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor animal cruelty.

Town Hall was cited last year for having malnourished animals, and was charged twice this year after he failed to improve conditions for the horses on his property.

Investigators found nearly 20 dead horses with several others starving.

Hall faces a year of probation and has been ordered to pay over $600 in fines.
