Memorial Service Honors Blackfoot Fire Captain

(BLACKFOOT) – Retired Blackfoot Fire Captain Kurt Aikele was laid to rest Friday in Thomas.
KIDK reports Aikele served as a member of the Blackfoot Fire Department for more than 20 years until his life was cut short Dec. 8 following a four-year battle with lung cancer.
Aikele had officially retired only a few days before.
Aikele started the first paramedic class at the department and taught first aid and CPR classes alongside his wife at Idaho State University.
