(MORELAND) – A Moreland man was killed in a house fire Tuesday evening.

Larry Permann, 67, died when his trailer home caught on fire near the intersection of Taber Road and 1200 West.

A caretaker noted that Permann had been placed on oxygen and may have lit a cigarette, which likely started the fire.

Crews from Rockford and Blackfoot battled the flames for more than two hours.

An investigation is ongoing.
