Patriots Given One-Week Exemption For Jermaine Cunningham
Published at(NEW YORK) — New England Patriots linebacker Jermaine Cunningham’s four-game suspension is over, and the team has been granted a one-week roster exemption.
This means that Cunningham wouldn’t count against the 53-man roster unless the Patriots decide to activate him for Sunday’s game versus the Dolphins.
Cunningham was suspended for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.
The 24-year-old Cunningham has 23 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two fumbles recovered in 11 games this season.
