TMZ reported Monday that Lohan is in huge trouble with Uncle Sam, and that her bank accounts have been seized by the IRS because she owes the government more than $230,000 in taxes.

The New York Post says the IRS slapped two liens on the Mean Girls star for $140,203 and $93,701 for unpaid taxes in 2009 and 2010, and she also owes unpaid taxes for 2011.

The source tells the Post, “Lindsay is freaking out.  And she’s doing what she always does, which is to say it’s not her fault and point the finger at someone else in her team.  She says she didn’t know anything about it…she’s broke and it’s not her fault.”

Another source tells the newspaper that people have been hired to take care of Lohan’s IRS mess and “it will be resolved by the end of the year.”  The source says the bank seizure was simply part of the “process.”

Lohan is expected to earn about $2 million this year.  That includes a delayed $1 million payment for a Playboy photo shoot, plus a reported $200,000 for a cameo in Scary Movie 5 and a $300,000 paycheck she earned from the recent TV movie Liz and Dick.
