Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers grew up rooting for the 49ers as a kid and will have a chance to stick it to them after San Francisco bypassed him in the 2005 NFL Draft.

“Gonna be fun, I went to a few baseball games there growing up,” said Rodgers.  “It’s a stadium that’s got a lot of tradition.  It’ll be a night game, it’ll be loud, and it should be a good show for the fans.”

Green Bay is averaging 27.1 points a game and Rodgers will have his offensive line ready for a tough 49ers defense, who is only allowing 17.1 points a game.

“There a very unique defense,” said Rodgers.  “They can get after you a number of different ways; we’re going to have our hands full.”

Colin Kaepernick has sparked the 49ers since becoming the starter after Alex Smith was injured and he like Rodgers grew up watching their opponent.

“Aaron Rodgers is a great quarterback,” Kaepernick said. “You see what he does on the field and you see performances he’s been having, so you can’t say enough about the guy. We’re going to have to go out and put up points.”
