It was Boeheim’s 903rd victory of his career, passing Bob Knight on the wins list.

“It’s a great honor,” Boeheim said after the game. “I couldn’t be prouder. We’ve had great players and great coaches for a long time, and it’s a privilege to coach here. The fans that we have, the support that we have here is unbelievable.”

Boeheim has coached all 37 years of his Division 1 career at Syracuse. During that time he has posted a 902-305 record taking his team to the NCAA tournament 29 times, reaching the Final Four three times and winning the 2003 National Championship.
