Charter Schools Denied
Published at | Updated at(IDAHO FALLS) – Two proposed eastern Idaho charter schools have been rejected by the state’s charter school commission.
The Bingham Academy in Blackfoot was denied on grounds that it set standards too low for post secondary readiness. The board also thought the petition needed too much revision.
The Odyssey school in Idaho Falls, which proposed a patriotic-based curriculum, was denied because its average class size was too large and because its budget lacked funds to hire highly qualified faculty.
