Clippers Top Rockets Without Paul
Published at(HOUSTON) — The Los Angeles Clippers were without point guard Chris Paul for the second straight game and for the second straight night, that didn’t seem to bother them.
Jamal Crawford had a season-high 30 points to lead the Clippers past the Houston Rockets 117-109 on Tuesday night.
At one point, Crawford scored 12 consecutive points for the Clippers (30-9). “It’s everybody honestly,” he said. “I’ve got the easy job just scoring, but Grant, Blake, all those guys put me in a position to score …I just have to make the shots, they’re doing all the hard work.”
Chris Paul was out of action again with a bruised kneecap, but the deep Clippers bench more than made up for it. Eric Bledsoe had 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists in place of Paul.
The Rockets (21-18) allowed a 10-0 Clippers run to fall behind by nine in the third quarter and could not recover. Chandler Parsons led them with 17 points.
