ESPN: Price Agrees to One-Year Deal With Rays
Published at(NEW YORK) — The Tampa Bay Rays and pitcher David Price agreed to a one-year deal allowing them to avoid salary arbitration, according to a baseball source of ESPN.
ESPN’s Buster Olney tweeted the deal is worth a little more than $10 million.
Price finished last season with a 20-5 record to go along with a 2.56 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP, leading him to win the American League Cy Young award.
For his career, the 27-year-old Price is 61-31 with a 3.16 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP.
