Flood Watch Issued in Lemhi County
Published at | Updated at(SALMON, ID) — Ice jams have prompted area emergency officials to issue a flood watch for Lemhi County that will continue through Tuesday night. The Salmon River is on the rise between Carmen and the city of Salmon and could reach flood stage by Wednesday. They say homes along Highway 93 are at risk and that at least one campground is already under water. Forecasted sub-zero temperatures are expected to complicate the efforts of crews trying to break up the ice.
