Georgia Tops Nebraska 45-31 in the Capital One Bowl
Published at(ORLANDO, FL) — Aaron Murray threw five touchdown passes to lead No. 7 Georgia (12-2) to a 45-31 thrashing of Nebraska in the Capital One Bowl.
Murray’s 427 passing yards and five touchdows broke school records for most yards and touchdown passes in a bowl game. He also had two first-half interceptions that allowed Nthe nation’s top-ranked passing defense to hang around.
Todd Gurley added 125 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.
Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez threw for 204 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Nebraska (10-4) lost its third consecutive bowl game. They led 24-23 at halftime but the two second-half turnovers helped seal the deal for Georgia.
