Hundreds of Idaho Athletes Benched for Concussions

(BOISE, ID) — A new survey from the Idaho High School Activities Association shows that nearly 450 athletes across the state missed practice or game time because of confirmed or potential concussions. Still, that’s based on limited information, since only 45 percent of high schools responded to the survey. 307 of those injured were football players. State officials hope to use the data to track changes and trends over time, and to offer suggestions for safety measures.
