(SALT LAKE CITY, UT)  —  A major winter storm in Salt Lake City has created dozens of accidents as the streets and freeways are like a sheet of ice.  A Frontier Airlines jet slid on the taxiway at the SLC International Airport.  There were no reported injuries.    All runways there have been closed and flights are being diverted to Idaho to both Idaho Falls and Pocatello.   There have been close to 100 accidents in the Salt Lake Valley today.   A UHP Patrol Officer was struck by a vehicle this morning as he was responding to an accident.  He is currently at the hospital and is expected to recover.
