(BOISE) – The owner of a former Idaho business has been sentenced to 51 months in federal prison for wire fraud and filing a false tax return.

Michael Lane Davis, 46, formerly of Eagle, owned Xpress Flex, Inc. and Payroll America.

Davis allegedly misappropriated funds from Xpress Flex to pay off credit cards and business expenses for Payroll America.

Prosecutors claim Davis used the funds without notifying his clients.

He has also been ordered to pay more than $1 million in restitution upon his release from prison.
