Idaho Falls Fire Engines Forced Outside

(IDAHO FALLS, ID)  —   A crumbling firehouse is forcing the Idaho Falls Fire Department to move trucks outside. The concrete floor in Fire Station #1 on Shoup Ave. is slowly eroding. Crews fear that the floor will collapse into the basement if fire engines are parked inside any longer. For now, the 30,000-pound trucks are being kept outside and running during the day to keep them from freezing. Officials say it’s up to the City Council to decide what to do with the building.
